Stars Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Stars Project Manager is responsible for providing project management for the Medicare Advantage Stars program at HealthTeam Advantage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position must be able to:
- Project manage multiple cross-functional department strategies as they are related to the HealthTeam Advantage Stars program. Providing direct oversight for the evaluation, development, support, implementation, and monitoring for the success of the projects.
- Maintains and oversees the Stars Workplan and its yearly evaluation/leadership approval.
- Multi-tasks to effectively manage own efforts on multiple projects and manage efforts of key stakeholders on projects holding them accountable for deliverables to optimize the success of the Stars program.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to takes meeting minutes, must be organized, detail-oriented, able to improve workflows and document management.
- Must have high degree of flexibility and be able to adapt to fast paced, changing environment.
- Must be able to apply professional judgement as needed to prioritize work and achieve a consistent professional written work product and optimal productivity.
- Must be able to establish effective, respectful and collegial working relationships to collaborate with internal and external departments/stakeholders to brainstorm, identify opportunities, communicate findings, and address barriers.
- Ability to work with cross-functional leaders and/or senior management to develop and implement change management strategies associated with people, process, and technology solutions.
- Understand and utilizes CMS Medicare guidelines and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Required Experience:
- One (1) or more years of Project Management experience.
- Two (2) or more years of Medicare Advantage experience.
- Typing Speed minimum fifty words per minute
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, and MS Excel (Level 3 – Expert)
Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in public health or related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Knowledge of applicable CMS Medicare Advantage requirements and CMS Stars program.
- Microsoft Office Applications, proficient in Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Excel (Level 3 – Expert)

Preferred:
- Project management skills, PMP, Lean Six Sigma and/or Agile experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time) and;
- A negligible amount of force frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
